Courteous, Professional and Talented

All our interactions with the people from VentuCap have been positive. Right from the initial meeting where we had to pitch to them, there was lots of useful feedback. I’d say if you get the opportunity to work with them, take it with both hands.

Poor Initial Experience

As a previous investor with Ventucap, I may have expected too much when my company was approached by them. We were producing the kind of growth they said they wanted. Unfortunately, we got some kind of trainee with only 1 or 2 years experience. I checked their CV and profile on Linkonect. They hardly seemed to know anything about our products or even market sector.

Disappointed

Disappointed that our round of presentations didn’t result in investment. We got some comments at the end of the presentation. It seems we are just the kind of company that VC would have invested in in the past. Turns out the company only wants to invest in change-management projects, turning around underperformers. I guess we’re just too successful then!

Just Not That Into Tech?

I seemed to get the runaround after initially setting up a meeting. Our solar-powered pogo stick is the green, personal transport solution of the future. You’d have thought that VentuCap would have jumped at the chance to invest. It seems that tech startups are no longer their bag. I got the impression they just want long-term partnerships with companies they can “transform”.

Not As Advertised

Promised access to Change Consultants and the VentuCap network. Was hoping for the famed VC expertise as well as an injection of operational investment cash. So far, we are not getting the advice and technical know-how.

Hi Mary, I’m sorry to hear that because we plan to increase customer growth in new markets this year. We’re currently focused on increasing our online customer base and converting one-off searches to annual subscription model. But we’re having these challenges that may have impacted on you: decreasing spending on investment and technology driving down demand for research services. Please be assured I’ll look into this and get it sorted.

Best wishes.
